Pecan Store October 1st, 2009

It’s hard to believe that it’s already October. I’m sure I say that every single year at this time, but seriously, it’s almost October!

That also means that we’re just a little more than two months away from the inaugural Sahuarita Pecan Festival! It’s the nuttiest festival in the Southwest and you definitely won’t want to miss it!

Although the Sahuarita Pecan Festival was created as a celebration of all things pecan, a huge part of the festival is also about recognizing The Green Valley Pecan Company’s long history and community ties with Sahuarita and the Santa Cruz Valley. R. Keith Walden purchased the land in 1948, and a huge part of our success was made possible because of the endless support from the wonderful people who live here.

So come on out and celebrate all things pecan, along with the local cuisine, arts and people of Sahuarita! Check out our website for more information and we’ll see you there!
